Head of Digital
Matt Simpson is Head of Digital for OMD Group in the UK and Chairman of the IPA’s Digital Media Group. His remit at OMD is to drive excellence in digital output across OMD UK and Manning Gottlieb OMD, where he has been responsible for restructuring both companies’ digital teams to create further integration in their respective offerings. His role at the IPA helps promote professionalism within the UK’s digital marketplace and in the last few years has seen him take an active role in helping the UK establish its first online planning currency via UKOM and establish and run the much referenced bi-yearly media owner survey. Previously Matt spent ten years at Starcom Mediavest where he served as Head of Digital going on to set up and run P&G’s first UK digital AOR.
Digital Buying Director
Paul has worked within the ZenithOptimedia group since August 2000, and started in the Accounts department. He quickly moved into the Press department where he stayed for almost 5 years. Within press, he worked as a buyer on a number of accounts including O2, MG Rover, Woolworths and Columbia Tri-Star. In June 2005 Paul made the move from offline to online and was promoted to Buying Director. Since joining the digital teal Paul has been responsible for overseeing a number of accounts including UIP/Paramount, Puma, Toyota/Lexus, HP and Lloyds. Since March 2008, Paul has been director for the O2 account. In addition to integrating the digital business into the agency he has also been involved in group deal negotiation and new business pitches.

Passionate about all things digital, Adam is one of LBi's Media Account Directors and an expert in the field of digital marketing and online planning and buying. With experience spanning a number of different verticals and working on a range of client accounts Adam is knowledgeable in all forms of online customer acquisition and retention; including display, paid search, affiliate marketing and eCRM as well as emerging communication channels such as ePR and social media. Adam also blogs for Brand Republic and has contributed to a number of thought pieces and industry articles that helps to demonstrate not just his personal passion for the industry but LBi's desire to help stimulate industry thinking.

Claire Valoti has work with MindShare for the last 11 years. She has helped build and shape the digital team. Claire was promoted to Business Director in 2005 and now leads the online display and mobile team. As well as building a huge amount of experience in digital, Claire’s ability to balance the needs of her team with commercial and financial acumen has fast tracked her development at MindShare. Claire has experience in Automotive, Finance, Technology and FMCG. In her early years she developed expert knowledge in understanding how women and children use the web and developed insightful strategies to reach them. Over the last four years Claire has been building her knowledge in mobile and is setting the agenda for the agency and the industry. She is also Co-Chair of the Mobile Marketing Association for the UK. Her controversial and grounded opinions are helping us make sense of a new medium which is loaded with potential.

Amanda's career at Unilever started in the UK market 5 years ago, leading Unilever's CRM strategy and acting as the centre point for driving innovation in new and emerging channels. Now Global Media Innovation Manager, Amanda is responsible for leading Unilever's point of view globally on data driven communciations, managing some of Unilever's global media partnerships and ensuring the delivery of outstanding digitally integrated marketing campaigns by providing media and digital expertise on one of Unilever's biggest brands.

Justin Pearse is editor of new media age, the UK’s only weekly magazine covering the business of interactive media and marketing. He appears regularly on television, radio and in the national press as an expert on all issues relating to digital media. He appears as a regular host and panelist at a variety of conferences and events.
Justin joined new media age as reporter in April 2000, becoming features editor in 2001, news and deputy editor in 2005 and editor in 2007. Previously he was a reporter on daily online technology title ZDNet. He started his journalist career on weekly IT industry trade magazine IT Week in 1997.
